Smart packing application for solution package your activities (Case Study)

On this occasion, I tried to make a design work based on the case study I chose, namely regarding the packing of goods.

In designing applications this time I use a saying: Make life as simple and minimal as possible!

This case study comes from a story and a story from a friend of mine who often has problems packing things when traveling or doing activities.

Here’s a short story:
“I once had a traumatic feeling when I wanted to plan a vacation or just play around, I always had a feeling of failing to pack things. Therefore I need the help of friends or an application that can help make it easier for me to pack goods for vacation purposes or just to play. Besides being easy to pack, the app can help remind me to plan”.

From these problems, I try to find out more detailed information through the interview method by asking several questions for the user or the user directly.

The final conclusion from the answers is that some users still experience problems when packing between them, namely: 1. forgetting not to bring the items you need, 2. still carrying items that are not needed, 3. it is difficult to sort primary to tertiary goods based on a priority scale .

Of the three problems above, I tried to provide a solution through the display design that I made based on the needs and desires of the user to solve the above problems.

The application that I created hopes to implement an algorithm that can provide recommendations to users or users to get a list of items that need to be carried, besides that this application is expected to be able to collaborate with friends in order to list items together and remind each other.

On this occasion I made an application design with the help of Adobe XD software (for making wireframe mid fi), figma (for making high-fi mockup designs), whimsical (for creating user flow & wire flow) google
form (to search for respondents’ answers)
